SiliconCantera helped an international offshore construction company hit their hiring goals to satisfy a large contract in their Houston office.
A large international offshore construction company opened up an office in Houston and saw tremendious growth over a 5 year period. During that time SiliconCantera was one of their preferred vendors for their search needs.
Then when they recieved their largest contract in the US they needed a large amount of highly qualified Project Managers and Directors, with salaries upwards of $200,000.00/year. Since we have proven to them through the years that we could find them top talent, they asked us to put together a proposal to help them with their new project.
Because we had been able to place over 15 candidates over a two year period with similar backgrounds, we were able to offer a 10 hire package that created an overall savings, but also fixed the cost for the search. This arrangement also allowed for us to allocate extra team members for the project, resulting in improved on the quality and cost per hire, while increasing the speed on which candidates were hired.

SiliconCantera helped a medical products distribution client staff their US sales group.
A medium sized Medical firm that specializes in the distribution of Regenerative Medical Injection Kits were looking to grow through the expansion of their W-2 and 1099 Sales Force. They also needed help with employee retention because 80% of their previous hires left within a year.
Client: Houston based medical device and consumables distributor

Services: Full time Onsite Search professional with a lower flat fee per hire. Retension consulting
Solution: Because of the amount of hires and the geographical expanse of the search, it was determined that having a search professional onsite to spearhead the project and act as a liason with our office team was neccessary. Additionally we did an indepth analysis of their previous hiring and onboarding program. It was determined that the inadequate onboarding program was the main cause for so many hires to be unsuccessful. IN additional to the hiring of multiple District and Regional Sales Managegers across the US, we were able to rework the onboarding program. This resulted in over 80% of the first year hires were still with the company after 12 months and many are still there 3 years later.
Solution: While on the surface this seemed a simple Executive Search, there were a lot of different moving parts that made it much more difficult. We were able to identify a number of excellent candidates during our initial search, but the compensation and the fact that this was a true start up knocked most of them out of contention. Finally we were able identify the right candidate in the Tri-State area. He was able to successfully build up the new company to where it was sold 2 years later.
The search for a CEO to run a new start up Medical Technology company.
One of our top clients spun off a division of the company as a new start up to build and market a Regenerative Medical solution based a patented process. They needed a seasoned executive that was very connected withint the Spine and Orthopedic markets. The right candidate also needed to have expereince with patents and contract negotiation. Additionaly they needed someone that was willing to start the company from scratch and take some compensation in equity.

Solution: Because of the number of hires we used a modified retained search fee structure. The initial hire of Director of Operations was a standard Flat Fee Retainer, the other 2 Director level positions, there was only a flat $5,000 initial for each, and no additional fees if the searches were abandoned. The Regional positions where on a Contingency agreement, with exclusive rights for 6 weeks. All searches were done concurently.

3 Regional Firms merged together to form a large international firm that needed to fill it's management team. It was neccessary to find them for a brand new HQ that was in a different location then any of the Regional headquarters.
